台湾にいってきた 2日目 九份編
写真は GF1 に Panasonic ライカ Summilux 25mm にて撮影。写真には Eye-Fi X2カード でgeoタグが埋めこまれてます。
２日目午後はそごう付近から九份(jiufen)へバスで移動。EasyCard で支払い、九份までは90元。
車両撃破装置
小１時間ほどバスに揺られて、九份に到着。いきなりこの景色がすごい。
九份は、日本人的には宮崎アニメの千と千尋の神隠しの舞台になったとの噂で有名ですが、台湾ローカルのドラマや海外の映画の舞台としても観光客に人気で、ついたとたんにこの人ごみ。

台湾に行ってきた 2日目

2日目の朝食は雙連駅近くにある世界豆漿大王へ。天気の変わりやすい台湾ですが、滞在中雨が降ったのはこの２日目の午前中だけ。駅から離れているということでタクシーを拾って向かうことに。
台湾は2009年ごろから公共の場所（レストランなど含む）はすべて禁煙に。助かる。
豆乳に揚げパンをひたして食べる。うまいです。
MRT中山駅方面へ移動。ふとみつけた中華電信(Chungwa Mobile) の直営サービス店が9:30で営業していたので、SIMカードを購入。”3G Data Prepaid SIM Card”...
台湾に行ってきた 1日目
クリスマス〜年末休暇を利用して台湾に３泊４日で旅行に行ってきた。台湾にいくのはこれで７度目なのだけど、ほとんどがカンファレンスだったり、新竹でハッカソンだったりと、台北エリアで純粋にバケーションでとなると実ははじめて。
そもそも今回、仕事と関係なく年末に帰国することになったのだけど、かなりたまったマイルでビジネスクラスの特典フライトをとることに。USから日本往復便のフライトを特典航空券でとっても、結局税金や燃料費などの諸費用が$750程度となってしまい、ここは自腹。ここに抜け穴があって、台湾や香港行きをとった場合にはこの費用がかなり安くなり、$400程度ですむ。そしてANAのフライトは必ず成田を経由するので、行きまたは帰りにストップオーバーすることが可能になる。必要なマイルは１万マイルほど増えるが、安い値段で、台湾旅行もついてくるのだから、これを利用しない手はないですな。

New Tweets Per Second Record by Japanese Movie... →
a new tweets per second record has been set. According to a statement by Twitter, the Japanese television screening of Hayao Miyazaki’s “Castle in the Sky” hooked up 25,088 Tweets per second, more than twice the previous TPS record, on December 9th.

HBFav には、はてなブックマークに追加する機能や、公式のはてなブックマークアプリと連携してブックマークを追加する機能だけでなく、Instapaper と連携する機能をつけました。Instapaper はいわゆる「あとで読む」サービスで、これは後で読みたいなと思ったサイトを登録すると、良い感じに整形してくれ保存しておいてくれるサービスです。
PC や iPad で Instapaper を利用するのも便利ですが、ぼくはこのところ Kindle を使っています。

Kindle で図書館から本を借りる
サンフランシスコの市立図書館 San Francisco Public Library (SFPL) では eブックの貸し出しも行っている。このeブックサービスを提供している Overdrive が Kindle ユーザへの貸し出しにも先日（といっても２ヶ月くらい前だけど）から対応している。
Kindle ユーザといっても実際に Kindle 端末を持っている必要はなくて、iOS や Android の Kindle アプリ、またウェブブラウザで動く Cloud Reader でも読むことが可能。費用は当然無料、貸し出しは３週間が最長で、延長はたぶんできない。
